People I was thinking to myself looking at the wars iraq and afghanistan. This new approach by going to Afghanistan to me is pointless in some aspect. War to me only works against people who fear death and actually a government who have to consider the lost and causalities. But when you fighting against thugs who are not afraid to lose their life, that war can go on forever. They are willing to die for their religion and for a war against the United States at all cost. I understand the will to fight a tyrant at all cost but is it worth putting your countries young women and men in harms way. To truly defeat a terriost or crush al-queda is not by military action it is by destroying the idea at the foundation of what a terriost want to do. And that is to kill innocent people, but people to be honest the idea of causing destruction is a trendy thought that someone in the world rather it will be middle east or somewhere else in the world will continue on. Even if we killed every single al queda member there would be another terriost group that would evolve somewhere else. I am sorry but to think that you can wipe out the people who think a certain set of principles or ideas is impossible. The balance of evil and good is how the world works hope for the best and increase the defense of this nation and hope to god.
